အိႏၵိယ၏ အေရွ႕ဘက္ ၀င္ေပါက္ျဖစ္၍ ျမန္မာႏိုင္ငံ၏ အေနာက္ျခမ္းၿမိဳ႕ေတာ္ဟု ဆုိႏိုင္ေသာ ကာလကတၱားၿမိဳ႕ေတာ္၊ ပထ၀ီအေနအထား၊ သမိုင္းေနာက္ခံႏွင့္ လက္ရွိသြားလာ၊ ဆက္ဆံေရးမ်ားကို ၾကည့္လွ်င္ ဤအတိုင္းပင္ျဖစ္ေနေၾကာင္း ရွင္းပါသည္။ တခ်ိန္က ပြဲစားႀကီး ရွစားရြီ ကဲ့သို႔ေသာ ရခိုင္ကုန္သည္ႀကီးမ်ား စီးပြါးေရးအေျခစိုက္ခဲ့ရာ၊ ေရွးေခတ္ ျမန္မာေက်ာင္းသားမ်ား ပညာေတာ္သင္ခဲ့ရာ၊ ျမန္မာႏိုင္ငံမွ ဘုရားဖူးမွအစ ကိစၥႀကီးငယ္ျဖင့္ ၀င္ထြက္ေရာက္ေပါက္မႈ အမ်ားဆံုးေနရာ၊ ဤမွ်ေရခံေျမခံေကာင္းေသာ ကာလကတၱားၿမိဳ႕ေတာ္တြင္ ယေန႔တိုင္ မည္သည့္ ရခိုင္ ဗမာ အေျခခ်ေနထိုင္ သူဟူ၍ မရွိေသးျခင္းသည္ ျမန္မာႏိုင္အတြက္ အလားအလာေကာင္းမဟုတ္ေပ။ “အရိပ္ေကာင္း မရွိ၍ ငွတ္အေပါင္း ခိုနားခြင့္ မသာခဲ့” ေသာ ဤအေျခအေနေပၚတြင္ ေဗာဓိသုခ ပရဟိတေက်ာင္းတုိက္ကို ကာလကတၱား တေနရာ၌ တည္ေထာင္ခဲ့ၾက ျခင္းျဖစ္သည္။

ဤဗုဒၶဂယာေဒသသည္ ဘုရားအဆူဆူ ပြင့္ထြန္းေတာ္မူရာ ေျမျမတ္မဟာ ျဖစ္သည္။ ေနာင္လာမည့္ အရိေမေတၱယ် ဘုရားရွင္သည္လည္း ဤေျမျမတ္မဟာ၌ပင္ ပြင္႔ထြန္းေတာ္မူမည္သာျဖစ္သည္။ ထို႔ေၾကာင္႔ ဤေျမျမတ္မဟာ၌ ေျမလွဴဒါန္းျခင္းသည္ ခုေရာ ေနာင္ပါ သာသနာျပဳျခင္းပင္ ျဖစ္ပါသည္။
ကာလကတၱားျမိဳ ႔ ၊ ေဗာဓိသုခ ပရဟိတေက်ာင္း ဆရာေတာ္ ေဒါက္တာ နေႏၵာဘာသ ဦးစီးျပီး ဗုဒၶဂါယာေျမျမတ္မဟာ၌ ၃၂၄၀၀ စတုရန္းေပ က်ယ္၀န္းေသာ ေျမၾကီးကို သာသနာ႔ေျမအျဖစ္ ၀ယ္ယူေနပါသည္။ ေစတနာရွင္မ်ားအေနျဖင့္ သာသနာ႔ေျမ ဒါယကာ/ဒါယိကာမအျဖစ္ ကုသုိလ္ေတာ္ ပါ၀င္ယူႏိုင္ၾကပါေၾကာင္း တိုက္တြန္း ႏွိဳးေဆာ္အပ္ပါသည္။

ဆရာေတာ္သည္ ဘုရားအဆူဆူတုိ႔ ပြင့္ထြန္းေတာ္မူရာ ဗုဒၶဘာသာ၀င္တုိ႔၏ အထြတ္အျမတ္ထားေသာ ဗုဒၶဂယာေျမျမတ္မဟာ၌ ေစတနာ သဒၶါတရားထက္သန္သူတုိင္း ၃ စတုရန္းေပ တစ္ကြက္လွ်င္ ျမန္မာေငြ ၃၀၀၀၀ က်ပ္၊ သို႔မဟုတ္ အိႏၵိယ ရူပီးေငြ ၂၀၀၀၊ သို႔မဟုတ္ အေမရိကန္ေဒၚလာ ၄၀ ျဖင့္ ေအာင္ေျမတစ္ကြက္စီလွဴဒါန္းႏုိင္ေအာင္ စီစဥ္ထားပါသည္။ ထုိအစီအစဥ္အရ သဒၶါၾကည္လင္ပါရမီရွင္မ်ား မိမိတုိ႔၏ ေစတနာသဒၶါတရားအေလွ်ာက္ နည္းမ်ားမဟူ လွဴဒါန္းႏုိင္ေၾကာင့္ သိရပါသည္။ ယင္းသို႔ လွဴဒါန္းႏိုင္ရန္အတြက္လည္း ျမန္မာႏိုင္ငံအႏွံ႔အျပားႏွင့္ စင္ကာပူႏိုင္ငံတို႔တြင္ ဆက္သြယ္လွဴဒါန္းရန္ ဌာနမ်ား ဖြင့္လွစ္ထားေၾကာင္း သိရပါသည္။

An Appeal

After having practiced all forms of the severest austerities in Uruvela Forest for six long years, on the full-moon night of Wesak in 528 BCE, the Buddha, endowed with Perfections (Paramis) fulfilled in his last existence, attained the Perfect Enlightenment (Sama Sambodhi) under the Bodhi tree, developing the three extraordinary knowledges–the supernormal ability to remember his past lives, the supernormal vision to see the death and rebirth of beings, and the supernormal knowledge with regard to the destruction of passions and the comprehension of things as they truly are.
After Enlightenment, the Buddha remained in the vicinity of the Bodhi tree for forty-nine days in various contemplations. Then he set off for Migadavana (present-day Sarnath) near Varanasi, where he taught his First Sermon to the five ascetics, who had earlier been his companions in austerities.
This historic place where the Buddha attained Enlightenment became a pilgrimage destination from the time of the Buddha himself. In the Mahaparinibbana Sutta, He clearly stated, “Ananda, there are four places the sight of which will arouse strong emotion in those with faith. Which four places? The place where the Tathagata was born; the place where the Tathagata attained Enlightenment; The place where the Tathagata set in motion the Wheel of the Dhamma; The places where the Tathagata attained final Nibbana. Bhikkhu, Bhikkhuni, Upasaka and Upasaki should visit these places. And anyone who dies while making pilgrimage to these places with a devoted heart will, at the breaking up of the body at death, be born in heaven.”
This sacred spot became even more important two hundred fifty years after the Buddha’s Enlightenment when the renowned Buddhist Emperor Ashoka visited the place. He is considered the actual founder of the Mahabodhi Temple. According to tradition, Ashoka established a monastery, erected a canopy with four pillars over the Vajrasana, the Diamond Throne of Enlightenment.
Even before King Ashoka, a monk named Bodhirakshita from Sri Lanka visited the place and donated some railing; he may well have been the first pilgrim to visit Buddhagaya from outside India. In 405 CE the famous Chinese traveller, Fa Hien, visited the site and recorded his impressions. Another Chinese monk, Huien Tsiang, risked his life to reach here. Thanks to these Chinese pilgrims and their detailed travelogues, we can recognize and identify many historical and important places.
When pilgrims visited, they had to have shelter. In the 4th century CE, the king of Sri Lanka, Sri Meghavanna, had a monastery built at Buddhagaya, Even after a lapse of three hundred years, Huien Tsiang saw this monastery and wrote that it was still in good condition.
Unlike those ancient days, pilgrims from all over the world are able to come to pay homage at this sacred site by means of convenient direct flights. Although there are a number of international monasteries which have sprung up all around, during the peak pilgrim season, all the monasteries, hotels and guest-houses are inadequate to provide hospitality to all. Thus, it is desirable to have more monasteries in the vicinity of the Mahabodhi Temple. With this need in mind, our Buddhist Mission (official Name: Russa Road Young Buddhist Student Literacy Mission) headed by Ven. Dr. Nando Batha, intends to purchase a plot of land measuring 32400 square feet, as near to the great Mahabodhi Main Temple as possible. There we will build a monastery to serve the needs of visiting monastics and pilgrims and also serve to better promote the excellent Dhamma of the Buddha in the land of its origin.
Some advance payment for this project has already been done but more remains. All devotees are cordially invited to contribute in this most meritorious project.

ေသာစ သဗၺဒေဒါေဟာတိ၊ ေယာဒဒါတိ ဥပသယံ - ေဒသနာေတာ္အရ ေက်ာင္းအေဆာက္အဦးအတြက္ လွဴဒါန္းျခင္းမွာ သာသနာေတာ္အတြက္ အရာရာကုိ လွဴဒါန္းရာေရာက္ပါသည္။ သာသနာေရးေရွးေရး အားခဲလုပ္ေဆာင္ က်ားကန္ေပးသည့္ ဤကုသိုလ္ထူးအတြက္ ၾကည္ႏူး၀မ္းသာ သာဓုေခၚၾကပါကုန္။

Fund Raising Show for Giri Cyclone Victims

Dear Dhamma Friends,

It is our immense pleasure to give you the news that Arakanese and Myanmar celebrities are going to organize Fund Raising Show for Giri Cyclone Victims in Arakan state of Myanmar on 30th December 2010 at Thuwanna Stadium from 5.00 to 9.00 PM. The above video is the announcement of the show in Myanmar.

Arakanese Fund Raising Show for Giri Cyclone Victims

As you noted, the Cyclone namely “Giri” had hit severely to North-East Rakhine State on last October 2010
affecting more than 500,000 people leaving them in dire situations, causing loss of all their belongings such
as families, homes, shelters, schools, professional facilities, mostly all the whole, not to say damages to
environ and habitat of the flora and fauna in the Region. We, Rakhine people most appreciate government authorities, local and international non-governmental organizations, humanitarian associations, donors, aid workers for their timely and reliable relief works and assists so far provided to our badly needed people. However, it will take more time to assuage the grieves of
victims and to bring them back to normal lives as ever before, so also needed are more aids and funds for a long run works.To shoulder by Rakhine people ourselves upon burden of relief for Cyclone victims, our “Rakhine Lay Wady Cultural Troup” is going to stage a music and cultural show on coming 30th December 2010 (Thursday);
(5:00pm ~ 9:00pm) at Thuwanna Indoor Sport Stadium No. 1, Yangon to the purpose of fund raising for relief works. We are proud to let you know that “Rakhine Lay Wady Cultural Troup” is a branch of the “Rakhine Literary and Cultural Committee (Yangon)”, a well-functioned organization representing all Rakhine Nationals dwelling around Yangon in population of approximately half a million and even more.It is indeed our great honor to invite you to the Show for your enjoyment on performances of Rakhine
