Women Empowerment Project
Women Empowerment is the most essential of the hours of the days. Russa Road Young Buddhist Student Literacy Mission has started its women empowerment Project since 2009. We are having 3000 women members who are developing themselves by getting our scheme. They are increasing their daily income and so they can send their children to the school.

Monk-robes Offering Ceremony

Offering Ceremony on 21/11/2010 at 9.00 AM. Monk-robes Offering
Ceremony (Kathina Civara Dana) is widely conducted in Theravada Buddhist
Communities all over the world because of its significance nature. All
devotees near and dear are invited to attend the ceremony. All
devotees are also invited for their contribution for making the ceremony
grand success.

Fourth Intensive English Course
Dear Dhamma Friends,We are very happy to announce that Bodhisukha Parahita Temple is going to organize 4th Intensive English Course in association with Buddhist Relief Mission from 15th March to 15th April 2011. We are very happy to get confirmation about the course from our Dayakas –Mr Ken and Visakha Kawasaki, directors of BRM. Ken and Viskha are living a life of literary and education, supporting Buddha Sasana worldwide. Very recently they released a book retold by them “Jataka Tales of the Buddha: An Anthology” published by Buddhist Publication Society, Kandy, Sri Lanka. We are very proud the book is recorded as best fast selling among the books published by BPS. We may use some of the Jataka Tales as text in our Intensive English Course.
All our Dhamma friends from different universities are cordially invited to participate and enrich their English skills.

His Holiness Alodawpyeit Sayadaw Baddanta Dr. Ariyavamsa, is being
organized at the Bodhisukha Parahita Temple, Russa Road Young Buddhist
Student Literacy Mission, P.O. Badu, P.S. Barasat, North 24 Parganas,
Kolkata 700 128, West Bengal, India, on and from 9th to 15th January
2010.
India is a land where there was always an influence of an intrinsic human power which we acquire from meditation. This is a process which dates back to the ancient ages. In Pali (ancient Indian Language) Meditation is known as Vipassana. By practicing Vipassana, the power to develop the concentration of mind in turn helps in doing well in life. It is a therapy to bring in peace and tranquility of mind. As our mind and body are closely related, the healthy mind transmits healthy stimulation to the body. Meditation is more relevant in the present day world.
After Meditation course completed, the Sayadaw and his disciples will be visiting to all Buddhist Holy places such Buddhagaya, Sarnath, Kusinara and Lumbini etc.

Annual Excursion
Bodhisukha School has organised an Annual Excursion on 23rd December 09.
Since its inception the School used to conduct such type of excursion
for many purposes. Students can learn many things from such excursion.
Practically teachers can get an opportunity to explain their students
about the importance of unity, environmental issues, social
responsibility etc. In fact, it was an Educational tour. Around 70
students and teachers were participated on the trip. This time we booked
Rose Valley Park, which is well equipped with many ammusement
instruments for children. Children were enjoying their trip like
anything. We also ordered food arrangement at the restaurant of the park
for all participants. The restaurant served the children with very
delicious food. Annual Sport 2009-10
Bodhisukha
School (English Medium - CBSE) has conducted its Annual Sport 2009-10
Program on 18th December, 2009. It was very eventful. Every year the
school used to organize the sport program to encourage children. At the
very begining of the program Venerable Dr. Nando Batha, the Director of

Society Registration Act. XXVI of 1961 of West Bengal on 31/10/95, and
also registered under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act of
Government of India on 30/6/2000, for the purpose of creating a new age
in which the human family can live in peace and dignity.
